Belonging & Community

The University of Northern Colorado welcomes, supports and celebrates students of all backgrounds and identities. Welcome to our pack of Bears!

We want you to succeed at UNC — academically, financially, socially and professionally. A big part of that is making sure you receive a warm welcome to your new community.

Here, we value each others’ uniqueness and share a strong sense of community, a can-do attitude, a commitment to serving others and a love of Colorado. Our cultural and resource centers provide valuable support and serve as hubs of activity and human connection. We also offer dozens of academic, health and wellness services to support you in and out of the classroom.

You’ll also find student organizations, residential communities, sororities and fraternities, athletics, performing arts and other campus activities all designed so you feel like you belong here.

VIBRANT CULTURE

UNC becoming an HSI makes me feel like I’m at home on campus, where I can hear the sounds of my people and see the colors of my culture reflected in the very fibers of UNC.

SUPPORT

Being a DACA recipient and the first of my family to be a college student, I didn’t even know if I could go to college. The amount of support I received [at UNC] is something I will forever be grateful for.
