UNC Campus Recreation
Open to students, faculty and friends of UNC the Campus Recreation Center provides facilities, activities and services for every ability level. Join an intramural or club sport, take part in group fitness classes. The Recreation Center provides a supportive environment for everyone.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Hours
Monday, January 18th 2021
Campus Rec Center: 10 AM to 9 PM (late opening)
Group Fitness: No classes before 10 AM. All other classes will be at normal times
Outdoor Pursuits Gear Shop: CLOSED
Open Swim: Normal Hours (12pm – 1:30pm & 5pm – 7pm)
In order to monitor our capacity, reservations are required for Campus Rec access, keep in mind:
- Start times are on 15 minute intervals
- Ignore the 15 minute ‘duration’ time
- Limit your time in the building to 1 hour

- Mondays at noon: Personal Training Demos & Workouts
- Tuesdays at 5:30: Rotating GroupFit Class
- Wednesdays at noon: Personal Training Demos & Workouts
- Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.: Rotating GroupFit Class
- Fridays at Noon: Wellness Posts & Fitness Challenges
- Sundays: Live Zoom Classes (links posted on Instagram)
Outdoor Pursuits' very own, Amanda McKight, is a part of the Air Force ROTC Detachment here at UNC that has recently been recognized as the best in the nation!
