Recreational Sports

Recreational Sports encompasses both Intramural Sports and Club Sports. Intramural Sports are recreational leagues played with and against your fellow Bears. Club Sports compete with other universities and provide professional development opportunities. Additionally, Recreational Sports provides opportunities within their programs for fun alternatives to traditionally competitive sports programming by integrating adaptive sport and informal recreational opportunities.

With a variety of sports and competition levels, there’s something for everyone! Purchase your Intramural Pass (Annual or Semester options) and you’ll be ready to register for as many Intramural events as you want—no limits, just fun! Use the Fusion Play App to register for leagues and tournaments, setup your rosters, and track your stats and scores! It’s free to download with your Bear Email.

Who can participate?

Anyone with a current UNC Recreation Center membership is eligible to register. Varsity college athletes must wait one year to play the sport they lettered in.

How do I register?

Purchase the Intramural Sports Pass (IM Pass).
Download the Fusion Pla y app.
1. Create an account using your Bear Email (@bears.unco.edu).
2. Sign your waiver and add emergency contact.
3. Search for your league or tournament.
4. Create or Join a Team. Invite others to join your team!

Club Sports Program

Club Sports are a great way to play the sport you love—or try something new—while being part of a fun, supportive team.

You’ll compete or play recreationally, build your skills, and grow as a leader. Along the way, you’ll gain real-world experience in organization, communication, and teamwork. It’s more than just a game—it’s a chance to connect, grow, and lead!
