The College of Performing and Visual Arts Advising Center is your resource for academic advising and degree requirements. Our team of advising staff helps you navigate our major, minor and certificate programs. You’ll also have faculty advisors assigned to you according to major, concentration, instrument or studio area.

Find Your PVA Advisors

We want to make sure your UNC journey is successful and efficient. Find your academic advisor according to your area of study. Click on the link under your advisor's photo to find their booking link and schedule an appointment. Ask your academic advisor if you should also connect with a faculty advisor.

Preparing for Your Advising Appointment

Step 1) Clear registration holds.

Step 2) Check DegreeWorks.

Step 3) Review your four-year plan.

Check the UNC Catalog

Step 4) Fill out your Advising Form (undergrads only).

Open the PVA Advising Form

Step 5) Book an advising appointment with your Academic Advisor.

See the Find Your Advisor section above to book your appointment. The PVA Advising Form should be completed before you come. Your Academic Advisor will give you your PIN to register and review your plan for next semester. If you have a dual advising model, consider filling out your form with your Faculty Advisor or checking in over email.

Step 6) Register!

Check your Student tab in Ursa for your date to register. Registration starts at 7am on your assigned day.
