Mission  

Student Affairs is dedicated to fostering the holistic development, belonging, and success of every student. We create and sustain inclusive and supportive co-curricular learning and engagement experiences—rooted in self-awareness,  interpersonal skills, equity, well-being, leadership and career readiness—that complement and enhance academic growth. Through intentional partnership, continuous assessment, and advocacy, we eliminate barriers, honor diverse identities, teach life skills, advance upward mobility, and equip students to thrive personally, professionally and as civic leaders.  

Vision Statement  

Student Affairs will provide exemplary programs and services, in support of a UNC where every student feels a deep sense of belonging and has the opportunities and resources they need to thrive and achieve their potential, both during their time at UNC and beyond.

Strategic Plan

The division will provide strategic leadership in facilitating efforts to recruit, enroll, and retain
talented students who are accomplished in extracurricular endeavors and broadly diverse.

Our Units

Assault Survivors Advocacy Program

The Assault Survivors Advocacy Program (ASAP) provides confidential 24-hour crisis response and intervention, advocacy, and resources to survivors of sexual violence, relationship or intimate partner violence, and stalking. Please reach out to us if you need support or resources.

Bear Pantry

Students and employees who are having trouble accessing the food they need are able to visit the Bear Pantry (located on the lower level of the University Center in Greeley) once per week and can choose up to seven food or non-food items at no cost.

Give Monetary Donation

Center for Women's and Gender Equity

The CWGE is here to support you and create conversations about gender equity at UNC. Our space in Scott-Willcoxon Hall offers resources, events, and programs that empower students of all identities to learn, connect, and thrive.

César Chávez Cultural Center

The César Chávez Cultural Center celebrates Latine culture while welcoming all students into a community of belonging. Through cultural programs, advocacy, and initiatives like the First Generation Near Peer Program, we help students connect, lead, and succeed at UNC.

Community Standards and Conflict Resolution

Community Standards & Conflict Resolution helps students develop skills to navigate conflict in healthy ways and engage in decision-making that supports their individual success and the wellbeing of their community. CSCR staff facilitate the student conduct process.

Counseling Center

The UNC Counseling Center Staff are licensed mental health professionals or supervised by licensed mental health professionals.  We are a team of caring and committed staff with experience in helping students.

Disability Resource Center

We work together with the entire campus community to eliminate barriers, increase accessibility, and foster inclusive environments through education, resources, and personalized support.

Marcus Garvey Cultural Center

The Marcus Garvey Cultural Center is a space rooted in Black excellence and built for belonging. We center the experiences of Black, African, and African American students while welcoming all who are committed to equity and community. At MGCC, you’ll find support, connection, and a place to be yourself.

Office of Health Promotion

The Office of Health Promotion provides wellness education about responsible substance use, mental health resources, and comprehensive sexual health education. Through health promotion and awareness, we equip UNC students with the necessary tools to make safer decisions to create a healthy campus experience for all.

Student Engagement

Getting involved is one of the best ways to help you adjust to life at UNC and to realize that you are a valuable part of the UNC community. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with other students as well as with UNC faculty and administrators, resulting in connections that will be important to your college success.

Student Outreach and Case Management

Student Outreach and Case Management (SOCM) helps students navigate difficult situations, such as food and housing insecurities, mental health concerns, personal or family crisis, and illnesses or injuries that limit their ability to be successful. Case Managers assist with communication and referrals by connecting students with support services for their success.

Veterans Services

The University of Northern Colorado proudly supports the military connected community by assisting veterans, active duty members, and their families in the adjustment to university life and providing a dedicated community space for connection and support.
