- Available in multiple configurations and locations
- Equipped with computer equipment, video equipment, or whiteboards
- Accommodate 8 people
- Reserve online, then check out keys from the main desk, 1st floor
- Only students may reserve study space, but faculty and staff may check out rooms if available. Call 970-351-2671 for more information.
- Smaller study rooms (1-2 people) on the 2nd and 3rd floors are available for use with no advance reservations. Students have priority in using these rooms.
Students, faculty, and staff can reserve the room for up to 4 hours a day
The Michener Recording Room includes:
- Huddlecam mounted on a tripod
- Document camera
- 2 LimoStudio 500 LED photography lights
- 2 600 watt softbox photography lights
- Computer with Camtasia and Panopto software
- Green screen backdrop
- Yeti microphone for recording audio
Audio Recording
The audio recording set up includes a Yeti microphone with a stand, shock mount, and pop filter. You’ll need a laptop with a USB connection and Digital Audio Workstation software (Audacity, GarageBand, Adobe Audition, etc.) to save and edit your recordings. Library laptops have Audacity software.

Video Recording
The video recording set up includes white and green photography backgrounds, 2 LimoStudio 500 LED photography lights, and 2 600 Watt Softbox photography lights. There’s also a 60” camera tripod (Manfrotto base with thumb screw leg locks and 3130head). Bring your own camera or check out one of ours.

- Doors are open and can be used any time the library is open

- There are several quiet study areas, study carrels, and small alcoves for students to use on a first-come first-serve basis.

- Available for:
- Library instruction
- Sessions of PVA classes with special equipment needs
- PVA and Music Library-related seminar sessions, meetings, and student group study
- Equipped with a complete sound and video system, an instructor workstation, a projection system, and 18 student workstations
- Accommodates 50 students
- Open evenings during Fall / Spring semesters and the main summer session as a computer lab for student use
