You're considered a transfer student for admission purposes if you have completed more than 12 semester hours of transferable credit at an accredited institution after high school graduation (or equivalent).
Students who do not meet the above criteria are considered freshman for admission purposes and should refer to the "Information for Freshman Students" section of this website for more detailed information.
