Your Academic Support Network
Student Hours (Faculty Office Hours)
Faculty Office Hours are your chance to get one-on-one help from the instructor teaching your course. Ask questions, dive deeper into the material, and get guidance on assignments and exams. Check Canvas or your syllabus for times and locations, then be brave and go—your instructors are here to help you succeed!”
Tutoring
All successful students do it! Connect with peer tutors in over 130 courses to strengthen your understanding and build your academic skills. Participate in individual or small-group tutoring, join night-time drop-in sessions, or take advantage of online options.
Supplemental Instruction (SI)
Some Science and Math courses offer SI, a free, peer-led program where students who’ve already completed the class guide fun, interactive study sessions. Join in to tackle tough material, practice problems, and pick up smart study strategies that boost your confidence and grades. Check if there is SI for your course.
Learning Assistants (LAs)
Learning Assistants are students who are in some of your science courses to support you during group work. They help you tackle tricky concepts and share strategies to strengthen your understanding. If your course has LAs, be sure to engage with them—they’re a great resource!
Math Study Center (Ross 1250)
Taking a math class? Make the Math Study Center your go-to spot for questions and extra help. Your instructors have scheduled hours and are available to review material and clarify concepts.
