Get a unique musical experience in our small ensembles and chamber music groups.

We have many opportunities for you to play in small musical groups and ensembles that focus on specific instruments or styles. You’ll grow in creativity, collaboration, technique and musical understanding in these intimate settings. Plus you’ll have the chance to apply what you learn in your other music studies in a supportive space. You do not need to audition for most of these groups, but contact the director of each one to learn more.

Latin Beat Ensemble

Dive into the vibrant music of Latin America with this community-oriented group! The ensemble performs mariachi, cumbia, salsa and other Latin styles across campus, in Greeley and throughout the region, offering students hands-on experience with authentic traditions. More than a performance group, Latin Beat builds community, celebrates cultural identity and connects UNC with Colorado’s growing Latinx population. Open to students of all backgrounds—and with no audition required—the ensemble welcomes everyone to share in the richness of Latin music.
