Getting involved on campus has never been easier! The Department of Housing & Residential Education encourages and promotes residence hall students to get involved in hall and campus activities.
As a resident in our community, we want you to get involved. More importantly, there is meaning behind your involvement. We want our students to have fun social opportunities as well as participate in activities that aid in the discovery of educational experiences, diversity awareness, and community service initiatives.
The community council is led by a core group of council members that are strong student leaders within the hall. In community council, you can expect to plan large scale activities such as battle of the bands, karaoke nights, video game tournaments, formals, etc. Beyond the fun activities, community council is the voice for the students in the hall; therefore, issues are discussed and decisions are made that help to improve the halls.
If you are interested in joining community council talk to your Hall Director and they will give you all the information you need.
