What We Do

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) at the University of Northern Colorado is a student-run organization dedicated to enhancing the collegiate experience for students living in the residence halls, university apartments and university-owned houses.

Things We Do

  • Outside of Meetings – RHA offers leadership opportunities, philanthropy initiatives that support UNC and the Greeley community, fundraising for conference costs, and free events for all students to enjoy. Residents can get involved through their RHA Community Council, where they help plan events, advocate for their fellow residents, and make a positive impact within their residential community. RHA members have opportunities to attend regional and national conferences to represent UNC and network with student leaders from other institutions. At the end of the year, RHA hosts a banquet to celebrate the accomplishments of the residential spaces on campus, recognize outstanding members, and honor students who have made a difference in the residential life experience.

What's the difference between RHA and NRHH

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the student-led governing body of all residence halls on campus, similar to a Student Government Association. We strive to connect students to the UNC campus and provide leadership opportunities. We host events and aim to create an enjoyable experience for students during their time in our residence halls.

RHA is a great way to meet and interact with people from across campus. It keeps you connected to events and issues. You can share ideas and information about programs in your hall.

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is the premiere honorary supported by the leading international organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development. NRHH strives to provide recognition for individuals who have contributed to the advancement of college and university housing. It ensures the advancement of member chapters through resource sharing, programming, and leadership development opportunities to contribute and support the vision of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Incorporated.

RHA offers many products to help make the transition to UNC and living in the residence halls as seamless as possible. 

A portion of your payment goes directly back to UNC students, by supporting leadership programming and opportunities through the Residence Hall Association.

  • SWAK University Services has everything students and families need to outfit their residence hall room. From a huge selection of bed sheet sets, comforters, blankets, storage solutions, bath essentials, rugs, trunks and more.  
  • SWAKU is the one stop shop for room outfitting and it can all be done from the comfort of home. Order early to ensure availability of popular products. 
  • SWAK University Services offers a variety of care packages for events throughout a Bear’s UNC academic year. It is easy to stay in touch with your student during those important events such as Bear Welcome, Fall and Spring Finals, Halloween and more.  
  • Choose from a wide variety of pre-built packages or build a package from scratch using SWAKU’s “build your own” menu. You can also buy a pre-built package and add from the build your own menu to keep your student stocked up on staples like ramen, mac n cheese and popcorn for the entire year.  

Rentals

RHA rents out many different machines for use by students and staff at the University of Northern Colorado. All machine rentals are $30, and the lawn games and team-building kit are free of charge! If you have any questions, please email RHA.
