Wilson Hall Features

Furniture and Appliances

Get comfy in a bed that fits your style—and your storage needs!

Each room comes with:

  • A twin (regular) size adjustable-height bed
  • A dual-firmness mattress—choose between firm or extra firm by flipping it over
  • Bed dimensions: approx. 80.5″ long x 41″ wide x 37″ high
You can choose from three different height settings to match your storage preferences.
Setting Clearance Under Bed:
  • Low (or bunked) 8 inches
  • Middle (default) 21 inches
  • High 31 inches
Beds are usually set to the middle height at move-in to give you a balance of under-bed storage and easy access.

Some rooms may have bunked beds when you move in to help maximize floor space. If you’d prefer a different setup, you’re welcome to bunk or un-bunk your bed after move-in.

You’ll have your own space to study, create, and focus.

Every resident gets a desk and a two-position chair. The desks are approximately 42″ wide by 24″ deep and 30″ high.

Plenty of room for your laptop, books, and a few personal touches.

Bring what you need—or rent what makes life easier.

What’s Provided
Rooms in Wilson Hall do not come with a refrigerator or microwave, so you’ll need to plan ahead.

Coordinate with Roommates
To avoid doubles, talk with your roommate(s) about who’s bringing what before move-in.

Know the Guidelines
Be sure to check the What to Bring list and the Housing & Residential Education Handbook for size and power limits on personal appliances.

Want a hassle-free option?
Consider renting a MicroFridge (combined microwave + mini fridge) through the Residence Hall Association—easy, convenient, and move-in ready.

Rooms in Wilson Hall have a sink area and a mirror, full bathroom facilities are on each floor with resident rooms.

Storage

Plenty of space to keep your wardrobe organized and easy to access.

Wall-Mounted Wardrobe
Each resident has their own wardrobe attached to the wall.
Approx. size: 42″ wide x 24″ deep x 84″ high
Great for hanging clothes, storing shoes, and keeping your go-to items handy.

The wardrobes have four large drawers on the lower section, two divided areas to hang clothes in the middle section with the two smaller drawers, and two open storage areas in the upper section.

The closets in each room should allow for storage of both clothing as well as other items such as boxes, books, athletics gear, etc.

Windows
Most Wilson Hall rooms have double-hung windows that can be opened by residents who want to enjoy a breeze from time to time.

Window Coverings
Most windows come with fire-retardant drapes to help block out sunlight when you’re resting, studying, or just want a little privacy.

The Mesa Neighborhood

Named for being located on the epic hill of Central Campus, the Mesa Neighborhood is an active and vibrant part of campus. Located on Central Campus, the Mesa Neighborhood is within walking distance of Tobey-Kendel Dining Hall, the Student Health and Counseling Center, Gunter Green and the University Center. The Mesa Neighborhood showcases beautiful buildings and some of the campus’s historic buildings that surround campus community areas where students can study, play music or perform at Garden Theatre, eat with friends, socialize and relax on the Gunter Green.
