Learn to Create Your Own OER

What does creating Open Educational Resources (OER) actually look like? Not just adopting an open textbook, but building something of your own? On March 10, three faculty members - Dr. Rose Grose, Dr. Michael Kimball, and Dr. Corinne Wieben - will share what it’s really like to create both large and small OER. They’ll talk about the time, the challenges, the surprises, and how OER creation supported their teaching and their students.

AI Literacy Module for Students

Our Teaching and Learning librarians have developed a new AI Literacy module that you can embed directly into your course shell. This Canvas module is designed to give students a foundational understanding of how generative artificial intelligence works, the critical issues around this technology, and how to think critically about AI tools and content. After working through the module, students should be able to understand the capabilities and limitations of generative AI as well as be able to interact with generative AI tools responsibly and effectively.
