Find My Advisor

You can find your assigned Academic Advisor and Faculty Mentor in DegreeWorks (including those outside the College of Humanities and Social Sciences).

New Students (Beginning Spring 2026)
Please use the links below to schedule an advising appointment with your major advisor(s) and be sure to select the appropriate appointment type, i.e., a new transfer student or first-year student meeting. As you're able, please complete any relevant placement exams and send any official college or university transcripts (including those from dual- or concurrent-enrollment) and Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or CLEP scores ahead of your advising appointment. You're also encouraged to register for and attend New Student Orientation through your UNC Admissions Portal
Students beginning in summer or fall 2026: Please monitor your UNC Admissions Portal for more information about advising and course registration after the start of the spring semester.

Information on tranfer courses, course equivalency, articulation, ACT, SAT, AP, IB, CLEP and military credit.

English: Secondary Education
