Programming for students by students!

UPC is a student organization which operates with student fees and program revenues to program for the UNC campus community and to serve as the primary programming organization at UNC. One such program is UNC Idol. UNC Idol is our own version of American Idol.  Each semester we have many contestants and anyone can participate!  Voting is 50% judges and 50% audience applause, with the top two acts from each night going to the finale.  Anyone with musical talent can perform - we've had contestants sing pop song, country songs, rhythm and blues songs, songs they have written, play the piano, the viola and the fiddle.  The finale always has a celebrity guest, and the top UNC Idol is chosen!  

The role of UPC is to present a diverse and well rounded schedule of social, recreational, educational, and multi-cultural activities for members of the University of Northern Colorado and surrounding communities. 

UPC is responsible for initiating, planning, developing, promoting, executing, and evaluating programs and activities for the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the University of Northern Colorado community.
