Half-Day Fridays

Dear Colleagues,

As the spring semester concludes, I want to share an update regarding our summer operations. During the last few years of my presidency, I have chosen to support a modified summer work schedule that includes half-day Fridays for staff, where operationally feasible, beginning May 15th and going through the month of July (last day on July 31st).

This practice reflects my recognition of the hard work, dedication, and sustained efforts you bring to our institution throughout the year. While not a formal policy, it is a practice I have implemented to provide some added flexibility during the summer months and to support overall wellness while ensuring we continue to meet our responsibilities to students and the campus.

Units should continue to manage schedules carefully to maintain appropriate coverage and service levels through 12:00 p.m. on Fridays. I appreciate your professionalism and commitment, and I am grateful for the important work you do every day in support of our mission.
