Page Specifications
Select the Interpreting Skills page from your site’s navigation menu.
Artifact Sections:
- Expand the existing artifact sections as appropriate to reflect current knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
- Summary of Initial EIPA Feedback
- Best Elementary Interpretation
- Best High School Interpretation
- Best Adult Interpretation
- Highlight your knowledge and application of ethical decision-making, systems thinking, professional guidelines, the roles and responsibilities of educational team members, and students’ needs throughout the page.
- Replace any interpreting sample as desired.
Focus on the interpreting sample as proof of your learning and abilities; let go of the assignment requirements.
NOTE: All interpreting samples should come from the SIS courses. All non-SIS samples need instructor approval.
Introduction & Reflection Sections:
- Update the introduction and reflection sections to reflect your competence across the page’s new and existing artifacts.
NOTE: The introduction section is between the in-page navigation section and the first artifact header.
Reference Section:
- Update based on in-text citations.
NOTE: This section can be deleted if no references are used.
Overview Section:
- Ensure the page introduction is verbatim from the template.
- Ensure the School Interpreting Series (SIS) Standards are verbatim from the template.
- Ensure the in-page navigation matches the final page content.
- Ensure the in-page navigation is appropriately linked.
Comment Section:
- Apply all feedback from the comment section.
NOTE: This section can be deleted once all feedback is applied.
Review Preparations
As part of INTR 435, your School Interpreting Website will be internally reviewed and graded.
These final steps will ensure this page is completely polished and review-ready.
External Review Feedback:
- Apply the feedback provided during the external review. This feedback will be shared within Canvas.
NOTE: The external review feedback reflects patterns observed across your cohort’s website. You must check your own website for these patterns and evolve your content accordingly.
Final Edit:
- Ensure the page is showcase quality:
- Read the page from top to bottom for cohesion and coherence.
- Check for formatting accuracy and consistency.
- Check for spelling and grammar.
- Check the accuracy of APA in-text citations and references.
- Check that links work as intended.
- Check that the artifact’s display is at an appropriate scale and is easily viewable.
- Add text statement identifying the language(s) used in videos (i.e., This video uses spoken English.)
- Add white space (negative/empty space) around visual and text elements to improve readability.
- Remove placeholder content, including text in [brackets].
