Presidential Search

As we continue moving forward following President Feinstein’s announcement that he will step down on August 1, 2026, we want to share an update on the presidential search process.

In early March, the Board of Trustees approved the resolution establishing the Presidential Search Advisory Committee and appointed us to lead this important process. As we begin the University of Northern Colorado’s presidential search, the Board remains committed to broad and meaningful engagement across our campus community. The committee will conduct a comprehensive and inclusive search, ensuring we consider a highly qualified pool of candidates representing a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee will include representatives from students, faculty, staff, administrative leadership, the Alumni Board, the UNC Foundation Board, community stakeholders, and members of the Board of Trustees. The General Counsel/Secretary to the Board and the Chief of Staff will provide administrative and advisory support throughout the process.

President Feinstein will continue to serve fully in his role through August 1 to support a smooth and thoughtful transition. Throughout this period, the Board remains steadfast in its commitment to our mission and to ensuring a stable, supportive environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Thank you for your continued dedication to UNC and for contributing your voice to this important work.
