The Board of Trustees for the University of Northern Colorado consists of nine members and is the governing authority for the University of Northern Colorado.

Each trustee takes and subscribes to the Oath of Office prescribed by the Colorado Constitution before entering upon the duties of his office. This oath is kept on file in the Office of the Secretary of State.

The Board is comprised of seven governor-appointed members, each serving four-year terms. Plus a nonvoting faculty representative elected by the faculty at large and a full-time junior or senior student elected by the student body.
