LEAP Summer Bridge
Your LEAP journey officially begins before fall classes even start!
In August, LEAP Scholars move into their residence halls early for a free, immersive four-day launchpad on campus.
During Summer Bridge, you will bond with your cohort, connect with peer mentors and faculty, explore campus resources, engage in hands-on research, and network with healthcare professionals—giving you the ultimate head start on your college experience!

A: On-Campus Residents: You will move directly into your assigned fall residence hall room during early move-in.

A: Optional (free) breakfast starts at 8am in the dining halls. Morning sessions will focus on academic preparation and getting familiar with UNC. We will break for (free) lunch and time for you to decompress. Each afternoon is dedicated to your research project. Evenings include (free) dinner and optional social events with LEAP peers.
Q: Do I need to register separately for Summer Bridge?
A: No separate registration is required! The LEAP application asks if you can attend the bridge. Please keep an eye out on your email after you apply!
