    As Mark and Tammy Berven reflected on their experiences at UNC, they decided to establish the Berven Athletic Leadership Scholarship, which supports one football student-athlete and one female student-athlete who are in their third or fourth seasons and who are active leaders on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council.

    UNC Foundation Welcomes New President

    October 13, 2022

    After a national search launched earlier this year, the University of Northern Colorado Foundation has selected Tony Troxell as its next president. Troxell, who officially stepped into his role on Sept. 16, will be responsible for the overall management of Foundation activities including gift acceptance, distribution of gifts to the university, and investment management.

That combination is something she hopes will also inspire and excite her students, both in the classroom and the lab, as she steps into her new role as assistant professor in UNC’s Chemistry and Biochemistry department this fall.

Fall reports indicate 25.5% of UNC's undergraduate students identify as Hispanic or Latinx; just over the 25% threshold required to apply for the federal HSI designation.
