Colorado Housing and Finance Authority Builds the Future through Scholarship Support at UNC
The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) was recently named one of seven Colorado universities that will receive $10,000 annually from 2023 to 2032 through the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority’s (CHFA) Building the Future scholarship fund. The fund, launched in 2022, dedicates $1.2 million to support college education across Colorado.

New Investment Expected to Increase Diversity and Add Numbers to Denver Metro’s Teacher Workforce
Since 2000, UNC's Center for Urban Education has been enrolling and graduating paraeducators working in local schools, offering a hybrid program that pairs bachelor’s-level coursework with clinical teaching experience that starts the first day of the program. CUE's educator programs have consistently high graduation and placement rates (over 90%) and its students—70% of whom are people of color and 94% of whom are first-generation—bring diversity to Colorado’s educator workforce.

Cubs Temporarily Roaming, Learning Among Bears on Campus
Along with the thousands of students learning on the University of Northern Colorado’s campus this year, there are about 125 of them that look a little different. If you’ve seen them walking through buildings or playing on Gunter Green, you may have noticed they're about half the age of a typical UNC student and their peals of laughter are an entertaining and welcome reminder of just how much fun school can be.
