Department of American Sign Language & Interpreting Studies 

Includes courses in American Sign Language (ASL) as foreign language credit for Liberal Arts Core, a minor in ASL, a BA program in ASL-English Interpretation, and a MA program in Teaching ASL with an option for Colorado teacher licensure.

Department of Applied Psychology and Counselor Education 

Prepares individuals to be professional counselors and psychologists in a multitude of settings. The department offers MA and PhD programs, in Greeley, Denver and Colorado Springs that are accredited by CACREP and APA.

Department of Applied Statistics and Research Methods

Offers master’s and doctoral programs in Applied Statistics and Research Methods which provide students with a broad understanding of appropriate applications of statistical and research methodology and with experience in using computers effectively for statistical analysis

Department of Leadership, policy and Development

Department of Leadership, Policy and Development: Higher Education and P-12 Education

Prepares individuals to assume leadership positions in P-12 and post-secondary educational settings. The department offers programs leading to Ph.D, Ed.D, M.A, and Ed.S degrees and certifications.

This department includes the graduate program of Higher Education and Student affairs Leadership.

Department of School Psychology

Includes APA-accredited Ph.D. program, as well as a NASP-approved Ed.S. program. Students in Ph.D. and Ed.S. programs may choose to complete an applied behavior analysis (ABA) emphasis.


School of Psychological Sciences

Offers an undergraduate degree in Psychology and graduate degrees in Educational Psychology. Degree programs are offered on UNC's main campus and online.  

School of Special Education

School of Special Education

Offers undergraduate and graduate programs that prepare students to work with individuals with special needs, from birth to age 21, in a variety of educational settings.


School of Teacher Education

School of Teacher Education

Offers a broad array of education programs that lead to licensure, endorsement, and certificates in addition to bachelor, masters and doctoral degrees. The programs range from early childhood education to culturally and linguistically diverse education to educational technology.


Educational Technology

Educational Technology Programs

As a part of the School of Teacher Education, the Educational Technology programs offer graduate degrees in Technology, Innovation and Pedagogy and encourage graduates to futurize the standard approach to learning and instruction in educational contexts.
