Receiving Your Undergraduate Diploma
Diplomas are mailed two weeks after official transcripts are released for the current semester.
To ensure your diploma is sent to the correct address, here’s what you need to do:
Update Your Diploma Mailing Address on Time
- Deadline: Update your Diploma Mailing (DI) address at least 30 days before the diploma release date.
- You can do this through the Update Addresses and Phones link in your student portal.
- If your address isn’t updated by the 30-day deadline, your diploma will be sent to your permanent or parent address on file.
Changed Your Address After Graduation?
If you need to update your address after your graduation date, call the Office of the Registrar at 970-351-4UNC (4862) as soon as possible so we can help.
Staying ahead of these deadlines ensures your diploma arrives safely and without delay—congrats on your achievement!
To Update Your Address
- On the Student tab of Ursa, in the Personal Information area, click the Update Addresses and Phones link.
- At the bottom of the page, click the drop-down next to Type of Address to Insert, select Diploma Mailing and click Submit.
- Enter the current date in the Valid From field and leave the Until This Date field blank.
- Enter the address where you would like to receive your diploma.
You may change your Diploma Mailing (DI) address through the Update Address and Phones link on Ursa.
