Employee Permits
For all permit types employees can choose to pay in full at the time of purchase, or pay monthly via automated credit card payments.
Your permit will be active immediately upon purchase. Permits are virtual and based on your license plate, so be sure to enter your plate correctly at the time of purchase. If you need to update the license plate linked to your permit please visit unco.thepermitportal.com or contact Parking Services.
Employee Permit Options
Faculty/Staff Annual – Allows you to park in all parking lots and expires August 2027.
Faculty/Staff Academic – Allows you to park in all parking lots and expires May 14 2027.
Faculty/Staff Fall – Allows you to park in all lots and expires December 31 2026. Only purchase this permit if you know you will not be parking on campus in the spring. If you purchase a Fall permit and then need one in the spring, we will not adjust the price.
Faculty/Staff Y Lot Annual – Allows you to park in Y and Jackson lots and expires August 2027.
Faculty Staff Y Lot Academic – Allows you to park in Y and Jackson lots and expires May 14 2027.
Faculty/Staff Y Fall – Allows you to park in Y and Jackson lot and expires December 31 2026. Only purchase this permit if you know you will not be parking on campus in the spring. If you purchase a Fall permit and then need one in the spring, we will not adjust the price.
Service – Allows you to park in all parking lots for all day parking and in Service spaces as needed for projects or business services. Expires August 2027.
Payment Methods
Permit Cancellation
To cancel your permit, contact Parking Services. Once the permit has been canceled, we will issue a partial refund via the original payment method. Pay in full permits can only be canceled upon separation from the university.

Payment Set Up
Monthly permits will be available for purchase starting August 14th. If you purchase a monthly recurring payment permit your permit will automatically renew one month after your purchase date. Monthly payments will be charged to your credit card once a month until the permit is canceled or expired. A $3.50 fee will be charged each month in addition to the permit fee.
Permit Cancellation
Monthly recurring payment permits can be canceled by the permit holder by turning off Autopay. To turn off Autopay visit unco.thepermitportal.com, click on My Permit, select your current permit from the list, click on View, and under the permit details page find Autopay. By turning Autopay off you are canceling all future automated payments. You can keep using your permit until the expiration date.
We do not offer refunds on unused portions of your monthly recurring payment permit. If you’re leaving the university and want to avoid paying for parking when you won’t be on campus, we recommend that you contact our office as soon as possible to ask about your permit options. You may save money by canceling your monthly permit early and purchasing a weekly permit instead.

Failed Payment Policy
A payment can fail for several reasons including insufficient funds, not having a card saved to your account, or not having the Autopay option turned on. If your payment fails you will need to purchase a new monthly recurring payment permit at that time. You will be subject to citations if your permit cancels due to failed payment. To ensure you have a card saved to your account you can visit unco.thepermitportal.com and click on the Edit Profile button. To ensure Autopay is turned on, you can visit unco.thepermitportal.com and click on My Permit, select your current permit from the list, click on View, and under the permit details page find Autopay. If it reads Yes, your autopayment is setup. If it reads No, edit the field to say Yes.
