Physical Education and Physical Activity Leadership Faculty

The faculty in the PE-PAL program are teacher educators to the core. They understand what it takes to become effective physical education teachers and meticulously guide students through each step of the process in becoming reflective practitioners. Each faculty member has extensive hands-on experience working with children in physical activity settings and are able to draw on that knowledge and expertise to facilitate the development of future educators. Smaller class sizes, especially in the upper level undergraduate courses, allow faculty to closely supervise field experiences and provide students with in-depth feedback on their teaching. The faculty know each of their students by name and understand the numerous responsibilities they are juggling as they strive to achieve their goals. The importance of the strong relationships between faculty and students cannot be overstated.
