University of Northern Colorado Administrative Records

The University Archives is the repository for official university records. The majority of these collections come from units on campus. While these records document administrative functions, policies, activities, and administrators, they are rich sources of information about the planning and growth of the campus, significant events, campus culture, diversity initiatives, major research projects, the entire UNC community of people, and relationships between UNC and the local community, state government, and other institutions. These records have permanent historical, research, administrative, legal, and or/fiscal value.

Major Collections 

University of Northern Colorado Board of Trustees, 1889-2015: Contains administrative files, meeting minutes and agendas, artifacts, and photographs.

University of Northern Colorado presidents: Contains records from all of UNC’s former presidents, the Office of the President, and its subunits. Each president and subunit has its own collection and, therefore, finding aid.

University of Northern Colorado academic units: Contains information from UNC schools, colleges, programs, and centers past and present. Major collections within this record group are the Office of the Provost, College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, Graduate School, School of Arts and Sciences, School of Music, and College of Natural and Health Sciences. Each unit has its own collection and, therefore, finding aid.
