Faculty Papers

Archives & Special Collections collects the research files, correspondence, lectures, syllabi, course documents, presentations, performances and/or books of faculty members who have made an impact on the University of Northern Colorado or on their respective academic fields. Archives & Special Collections collects all monographs published by the faculty.   

Faculty papers within Archives & Special Collections are organized by the faculty member’s name.  For example, if you wanted to locate the papers of former UNC librarian Bette Rathe, you would search ArchivesSpace with the term “Bette Rathe.”  For a brief tutorial on using ArchivesSpace, visit Using University Archives.

Faculty Publications, Monographs, and Musical Performances 

Published works by faculty members can be located in the libraries catalog. Search either using the faculty member’s name, or view the Summon results for all faculty publications.

Select Faculty Papers and Collections 

Annie McCowen Diaries:  Annie McCowen was a professor of Elementary Education at the Colorado State College of Education from 1921 through 1958.  She authored several reading and English textbooks that were highly influential.  Her diaries trace her personal and professional life from 1936-1965.

B. William Van Loo Papers: B. William Van Loo was the technical director for the Little Theatre of the Rockies from 1973-1992.  Van Loo was responsible for over 100 productions, including more than 25 musical theater productions.  The collection consists of theatrical renderings, photographs, negatives, and programs of the majority of productions that Van Loo was responsible for during his tenure at UNC.
