UNC students can access tech-friendly study spaces throughout campus, including newly renovated student lounges and open-access library computers.
Student lounges can be located on west campus, in McKee Hall 101E, Candelaria Hall 0345, and Ross Hall 2263.
Open computers can be accessed in the Michener Library and Skinner Music Library.
UNC students also have access to the Apporto virtual computer lab, so they can access academic tools from anywhere—on or off campus.
IM&T and the Library have teamed up to provide UNC students with the option to reserve laptops for both short-term and long-term use. Stop by the Michener or Skinner Music Library to check one out today!

Akindi – A flexible assessment platform used for creating and grading multiple-choice exams and quizzes, often integrated with Canvas for seamless access and results.
Canvas – UNC’s primary learning management system where students can access course materials, submit assignments, view grades, and communicate with instructors.
Honorlock – An online proctoring service that ensures academic integrity during remote exams by monitoring students through webcam and browser activity.
iClicker – A classroom response system that allows students to participate in live polls and quizzes during lectures, helping instructors gauge understanding in real time.
Panopto – A video platform used for recording, sharing, and viewing lecture content, presentations, and other multimedia resources within your courses.
Zoom – A video conferencing tool used for virtual classes, meetings, and office hours, integrated with Canvas for easy participation.
