Crossing Barriers: Finding Collaborators and Applications

April 15 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Hybrid Event

In this presentation, Dr. Doug Woody, Professor in the School of Psychological Sciences, will address common challenges related to scholarly collaboration and to the applications of our research. He will begin with traditional recommendations for identifying collaborators within our own research areas and then explore alternative approaches to collaboration across universities, research topics, and professional roles. Throughout the discussion, he will emphasize both intentional collaboration strategies and the ways serendipity can enhance scholarly processes and outcomes.

He will also address the application of research findings. As with collaboration, he will consider both traditional and alternative strategies for connecting research outcomes to applied questions inside and outside of academia.
