Support for Students Facing Food Insecurity

If you’re having trouble getting enough to eat, you’re not alone—and UNC is here to help.

Food insecurity can happen for all kinds of reasons. No matter your situation, we want to connect you with resources that can support your well-being and help you thrive—on campus and beyond.

On Campus Support

Bear Pantry

Students and employees who are having trouble accessing the food they need are able to visit the Bear Pantry (located on the lower level of the University Center in Greeley) once per week and can choose up to seven food or non-food items at no cost.

Dean of Students

We’re here to help students in navigating difficult situations and connecting with available resources. Come see us on the second floor of the University Center or send us a message to seek support.

Student Outreach and Case Management

Student Outreach and Case Management (SOCM) helps students navigate difficult situations, such as food and housing insecurities, mental health concerns, personal or family crisis, and illnesses or injuries that limit their ability to be successful. Case Managers assist with communication and referrals by connecting students with support services for their success.
