Admitted Student Next Steps

If you have any questions at all or need any help in the meantime, we recommend starting with your admissions counselor.

Confirming your plans to unlock access to housing, your registration ready checklist, and more!

The first step to making your plans official is to submit the Tell Us Your Plans decision form in your Admissions Portal. The priority deadline to confirm your plans for students enrolling in the Fall (August) is May 1. Students who have decided to decline your offer of admission can also complete the Tell Us Your Plans decision form to let us know.

Submit the “Tell Us Your Plans” decision form and $200 enrollment deposit (or waiver*) to make it official and accept your offer. Please allow systems up to 48 hours to update once completed.

Tell Us Your Plans!

*Students who received a need-based application fee waiver will automatically receive a confirmation deposit waiver. All students who have a financial hardship will have an opportunity to indicate that when you Tell Us Your Plans.

Access or activate your Ursa or current student account. You’ll need these credentials to access the Apply for Campus Housing.

Ursa is also where future students view their financial aid award, accept or decline aid (including scholarships), setup payment plans, register for classes and more!

Login to My Ursa Account

To access the Campus Housing Application and complete the room selection process, use your Ursa credentials.

Access to room selection is granted in the order applications are received so the sooner you register for housing, the more priority and options you will have when choosing your room.

Finding a roommate is an important step – we recommend using the ZeeMee Housing Match or the Roomeez Survey avaialble within the Housing application system.

Submit the Housing Application & Contract

We are working hard to prepare financial aid packages for students and families that submit the FAFSA or CASFA. Financial aid awards are prioritized in the order they are received so we encourage submitting as early as possible. To ensure maximum consideration for need-based financial aid, students must submit their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or CASFA (Colorado Application for Student Financial Aid) before the June 1 priority deadline and the UNC Scholarship Application by the February 1 priority deadline.

As soon as your aid application is received and when your financial aid award is available to view in Ursa, we’ll notify you by email, text (opt-in required), and via your personalized checklist visible in your admissions portal.

How to for New UNC Students

The State of Colorado Immunization Law (C.R.S. 25-4-901) requires all students taking in-person classes or an online program requiring five or more consecutive days in-person to submit proof of immunizations (or exemption waivers) before registering for classes.

You can upload your immunization records through your Admissions Portal using the Upload Documents button on the Home tab.

Our Immunization Requirements website is a great resource for you and has additional information related to: required and recommended immunizations, tips for locating your immunization records, requirements for immunization exemptions

Upon receipt of official college transcripts, the Registrar will automatically prepare a Transfer Equivalency Reports (TER) for current college and high school students.

Once available, you will be notified by email that your TER is available. Please note this process may take up to 7 business days. Transfer Equivalency Reports are accessible anytime though your Student Ursa account.

The Office of the Registrar evaluates coursework and determines which credits are transferable based upon established equivalencies as approved by academic departments.

Please allow up to two weeks from the date requested for your transcript to be processed.

First-year students who applied prior to graduation are required to submit their Official Final High School Transcript as a federal requirement. Once you’ve graduated, ask your high school to send your final official transcript, complete with your final GPA and graduation date, to UNC’s Office of Admissions.

In order to receive credit for previous coursework completed at another college/university transcripts MUST be sent directly from the institution attended and be considered official.

If you are currently enrolled in college or university coursework, we recommend submitting a request for an end-of-term transcript or waiting until your final grades have posted so you don’t incur the cost of multiple transcripts.

Bearmail is your university email. Go to ursa.unco.edu and select account activation to get started.
