Orientation
Help your student launch their UNC journey with confidence. Family & Friends Orientation welcomes you into the Bear family with resources, connection, and support. Guests can attend orientation sessions covering financial aid, student safety, health resources, and academic support. When your student registers for orientation, you’re automatically included.
Financial Aid & Costs

Housing & Dining
A comfortable place to live and fresh, nutritious meals lay the foundation for student success. We offer several different options for housing across campus, from residence halls to apartments to university owned houses. Our meals plans offer convenience and flexibility for every student and are perfect for grabbing a quick coffee, picking up a snack between classes, or enjoying a full meal.
Health & Safety
Peace of mind for you—and comprehensive care for your student. UNC’s on-campus health clinic and counseling center provide medical and mental health services. Campus police patrol 24/7, and safety escort services are available.
