Step 1: Clear Registration Holds
Check for holds on your account
In Ursa, select View Your Holds to find out whether any holds on your account prevent you from registering.
Do you have holds?
If there are any holds listed in Ursa, you will have to work directly with the department that placed the hold to have it removed. View list of common holds for information on who to contact.
Step 2: Check Degree Works
Visit Degree Works to view your degree progress.
Check Your Incomplete Items
Review your academic plan and Liberal Arts Curriculum requirements in Degree Works to prepare items to discuss with your advisor. Learn more about Degree Works
Step 3: Prepare Your Academic Plan
Prepare a list of questions and classes to discuss with your advisor, using the tools
below.
View Four Year Plans
Four year plans for each major are available for every active catalog year and outline a possible schedule of coursework to complete your degree in four years.
Look up Classes
Login to Ursa to look up classes and plan your class schedule.
Step 4: Meet With Your Advisor
Schedule a meeting with your advisor
Not sure who your advisor is? Visit Ursa and select View Student Information to find your advisor.
Obtain Your PIN
Meet with your advisor to determine course options and obtain your PIN to register for classes.

Step 5: Register
Find your registration date in Ursa
Registration Instructions
- Log in to Ursa
- Complete Action Item - Financial Statement Responsibility
- Proceed to the Student Tab and select the Register, Add or Drop/Withdraw Classes link under “Register for Classes.”
- Choose the appropriate term and enter your PIN when prompted.
- Enter the CRN in the Add Classes Worksheet or search for the course using the Class Search button.
- When finished, click Accept/Submit.
