Need a Transcript?

You’ll order your UNC transcript through our secure online service.

Once you submit your order, it’s final—we’re not able to recall or refund it.

If you’re new to Parchment or run into any issues, call their support team at 888-666-9408. They’re happy to help you get started.

Need an Unofficial Transcript?

If you’re a current student, you can download your unofficial transcript anytime through your Ursa account.

If you’re an alum or former student, unofficial transcripts aren’t available—please request an official transcript instead.

How to Order Transcripts

Current-active students can obtain an Unofficial transcript from their Ursa account.

Forgot your Bear Number?

 

You can access the transcript ordering service online. You will need your Bear Number. Recover your Bear Number by clicking here.

Current students can order transcripts through Ursa .

A third party records release signed by the student, no digital signatures will be accepted, which includes the student’s name, previous names, dates of attendance, date of birth, and last 4 digits of the SSN (optional).

Third parties who may request transcripts on behalf of students may include:

  • Accredited educational institutions
  • Transcript processing companies
  • Military
  • Law firms, legal counsel
  • Government institutions

Third parties who may not request on behalf of a student:

  • Parents
  • Spouses
  • Family members
  • Private employers
  • Others with no legitimate educational interest

The University of Northern Colorado retains the right to deny any third party request, in which the university feels the student would be best served by requesting their own transcripts.

eTranscripts (electronic delivery) - $10.00

Need to Include an Attachment with Your Transcript?
If your transcript order includes an attachment that needs to be filled out by UNC, please choose the Paper Transcript option when placing your order.

Attachments are not reviewed or completed when sent with an eTranscript. If you choose the electronic option, your attachment won’t be processed—and you’ll need to submit a new order with the Paper option selected.

We want to make sure everything is completed correctly the first time, so be sure to select the right format for your needs!

Planning to Use FedEx for Your Transcript?

Here’s what you need to know:

Place your order by 3 p.m. MST (Monday–Friday) for same-day processing.

Orders placed after 3 p.m. or on weekends will be processed the next business day (excluding holidays).

Additional costs apply depending on the FedEx service level you choose.

We recommend ordering early in the day if you’re on a tight deadline!

You’re welcome to order your transcript in person at the Office of the Registrar using our online system—it takes about 15 minutes to print.

Want it ready when you arrive?

What to Bring:
A valid photo ID is required to pick up your transcript.

Pick-Up Policy:
Paper transcripts ordered for pickup will be held for 30 days. After that, they’ll be securely shredded.

Colorado State Law HB22-1049

Under Colorado State Law HB22-1049 ‘CONCERNING PROHIBITING A POSTSECONDARY INSTITUTION FROM MAKING PAYMENT OF AN OUTSTANDING BALANCE ON A STUDENT’S ACCOUNT A CONDITION OF ISSUING THE STUDENT’S DOCUMENTS. Students may request an official transcript or diploma be released for one of the reasons listed below.

  • Job application
  • Applying for state, federal or institutional financial aid
  • Pursuit of opportunities in the military or national guard
  • Pursuit of other post secondary opportunities
  • Transferring to another post secondary institution

For additional information on obtaining an official transcript or diploma under Colorado State Law HB22-1049 please call the Office of the Bursar at 970-351-4862, option 3.

Please note:

  • HB22-1049 does not apply to foreign/international students. Any foreign/international students with questions should call the Office of the Bursar at 970-351-4862, option 3
  • HB22-1049 does not apply to students who have holds for other than tuition debts (ex:room/board).
  • Students with holds related to conduct matters from the Dean of Students, Title IX Coordinator, CARE Team, etc. must contact the respective office to resolve such matters prior to an official transcript and/or diploma being released.
