School of Theatre Arts and Dance

At the UNC School of Theatre Arts and Dance, you’ll get the kind of training that helps you prepare for a career in professional theatre or theatre education. The program has been named a Colorado Program of Excellence, and it focuses on creating theatre through an anti-racist lens.

When you study here, you’ll dive into challenging classes and take part in many performances. You’ll work with award-winning guest artists and get the chance to try out every part of the theatre world. The School of Theatre Arts and Dance is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST), so you know you’re getting a top-quality education.

Apply for our Programs

You can apply for one of our undergraduate degrees in acting, musical theatre, design and technology, theatre education and theatre arts. We also offer a Master of Arts in Theatre Education and a Master of Arts in Dance Education that are perfect for teachers already out in the field. Many of our programs require extra steps like an interview or audition.
