The B.A. in Psychology requires 120 credits, which include:
31 Credits – Liberal Arts Curriculum
General education classes include a mix of math, communication, writing, arts and humanities, natural and physical sciences, and cultural and international studies.
45 Credits – Required Major Courses
You’ll take a range of core and foundational courses, including a psychology field experience.
44 Credits – University-Wide Electives
Enrich your education with additional courses from across the UNC curriculum. This flexibility gives you the possibility to add a minor or even a second major.
You’ll work closely with an advisor each semester to plan coursework and ensure you are meeting all degree requirements.

UNC also offers an 100% online bachelor’s degree completion program in Psychology. Offered through our Extended Campus, this option is ideal for busy adult learners looking to finish what they started.
Psychology is an ideal subject to integrate with other areas of study. This 18-credit minor will deepen your understanding of human behavior, while providing you with critical thinking skills that will serve you in your life and career. Many students find that a psychology minor is a good complement to majors such as business, biology, criminal justice, human services and sociology.
