Each student’s path to UNC is different. We offer orientation in two ways. Both options give you the information, resources, and connections to begin your Bear journey with confidence.

What NSO Looks Like

Family and Friends at Orientation

Starting college is a big change for students and their supporters. UNC offers sessions for Family and Friends as part of New Student Orientation.

What to Expect

While students attend their sessions, families and supporters join their own activities. These include presentations, tours, and discussions about campus resources and student life. You will also learn ways to support your student’s success.
