Placement Result Guidelines

These guidelines indicate the course prerequisites and minimum score on the ALEKS placement assessment for entry into gateway mathematics and statistics courses. The choice of the most appropriate course for you will be made when you attend Orientation and are advised at the math placement session. For returning and transfer students, your academic advisor will help you select the appropriate course based on this information. If these prerequisites differ from the UNC catalog, then the catalog prerequisite prevails.

If your ALEKS score is 0-24 or if you have questions, please contact the Math Placement Team at math.placement@unco.edu.
