Pioneering Online Dietetic Education at UNC
The University of Northern Colorado Dietetic Internship (UNCO DI) was established in 1995 and is the first to base the learning structure on a Distance Education Model. Our extensive experience working with distance learners means we understand the unique needs and desires of the online student. Our application and selection process utilizes a holistic screening approach where we consider key elements of the whole person in addition to using traditional measures such as academic achievements and GPA.
The UNCO DI program is an online/distance format and offers a post-baccalaureate supervised practice experience, designed to prepare students for successful completion of the Registered Dietitian Examination as well as entry-level practice. This program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
