When the former gymnast searched for an in-state college, she found the University of Northern Colorado, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Now she’s a first-year student in the Sport and Exercise Science master's program.

    On the heels of the state moving into vaccination Phase 1B.4 on March 19, the local Leprino Foods plant in Greeley contacted the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) offering doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination that were unspoken for during the plant’s March 20 on-site vaccine clinic event.

    For the third time in 10 years, Jill Bezyak, Ph.D., professor of Human Rehabilitative Services and program coordinator for the Rehabilitation Counseling program at the University of Northern Colorado, has received a five-year, $958,778 grant from the U.S. Department of Education to increase the number of qualified vocational rehabilitation counselors who serve individuals with disabilities.

    The university has teamed up with the Colorado Emergency Operations Center and King Soopers to provide drive-thru testing for COVID-19 on campus this month. The service will be offered in the parking lot west of Candelaria Hall on May 14-16, May 21-23 and May 29-30.
