Homecoming 2026 Through the Lens

Relive the six days of Homecoming events that highlighted the strength of Bear pride

Homecoming 2026 was a week packed full of events celebrating tradition, connection and Bear pride. On Sept. 21-26, students, employees, alumni and the Greeley community gathered at fun activities, including a pep rally, a drone show, a dodgeball competition, a Movie night on Nottingham Field, the Homecoming Parade and the Homecoming 5K, to name a few.

Below are some highlighted moments:

On Saturday, Sept. 26, the UNC Volleyball team hosted Montana State and swept their competition with a 3-0 win.

Then, the fun continued at UNC’s first nighttime Homecoming football game, where the Bears took on Utah Tech and walked away with a 37-13 win. Before that, fans enjoyed a Homecoming Tailgate and a Taste of UNC event.

A bonus moment –– alumnus and former Bear football player Tyler Bloyer, ’16, proposed to his now fiancée Hannah Hall during halftime festivities.

“Proposing at a UNC football game was meaningful for me because my time at UNC was such a special chapter in my life,” said Bloyer. “I was able to achieve so much more in my football career on that field than I could have ever imagined. Both of my sisters also attended UNC, and it felt right to begin a new chapter of my life with Hannah in that stadium as well.”
