The University of Northern Colorado’s vision to meet the critical and growing demand for doctors across the state just received a major endorsement. The Weld Trust has committed $25 million earmarked for the university’s proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Among several items on a lengthy agenda, the board received an update on phase II of the university’s strategic plan Rowing, Not Drifting 2030, heard a summary report from the Presidential Evaluation Committee regarding a comprehensive review of UNC President Andy Feinstein and approved the university’s FY24 budget.

The grounds of the University of Northern Colorado received a welcome living, breathing facelift last week. As part of Arbor Day and Earth Day celebrations this year, students, faculty and staff picked up shovels and got their hands dirty planting 122 new trees across the university’s 250-acre campus.

The University of Northern Colorado is hosting its spring commencement ceremonies May 5-6, inside the Bank of Colorado Arena. This year’s spring class includes approximately 1,272 undergraduate and graduate students. An additional 342 students are expected to complete their degree requirements this summer and can participate in the spring ceremonies.

On Saturday, April 8, at 5 p.m., in the University Center Ballrooms, the Ha’aheo ‘O Hawai‘i Club will host its 30th annual Lū‘au.
