    Conditions of Employment

    • All candidates who are extended an offer of employment must complete and pass a background check. Some positions, depending on the job duties will need to complete a physical evaluation to be hired.
    • All new-hires must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States within 3 days of hire.
    • All Employees are required to have direct deposit of your paycheck.
    • For positions requiring a degree, candidates must provide original transcripts within 30 days of hire.
  • Faculty Employment Opportunities

    Employment Opportunities

    Faculty contracts are of three types and are denominated term, tenure-track, and tenure.   Academic ranks used for faculty consist of lecturer, instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, professor, and rank(s) associated with special status.  UNC requires original college transcripts to be submitted within 30 days of job offer and conducts educational verifications for faculty positions.

    All Faculty position require completion of the online application. Unless otherwise stated, all application materials are to be submitted through our job portal.

    International Candidates

    In addition to all other requirements for a contract, faculty or staff who are not holders of American passports or Legal Permanent Residents will require immigration paperwork. Depending on the country involved, this could take up to 90 days for processing. For any country other than Canada, please contact the Human Resources Department to find the current requirements.
