Northern Colorado Youth for Christ

The Socal Research Lab at the University of Northern Colorado has played a critical role in helping NCYFC evaluate and strengthen the impact of the Rebalance Program through validated assessments and comprehensive data analysis. Their research has demonstrated significant improvements in youth self-control, decision-making, relationship skills, self-awareness, social awareness, emotional regulation, and sense of belonging, while supporting NCYFC’s trauma-informed approached rooted in CDC ACEs prevention strategies, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Motivational Interviewing. This evidence-based partnership has increased credibility with schools, community partners, and grant funders, while also helping expand the Rebalance model to 26 additional Youth for Christ chapters across the country that are now reporting similar positive outcomes among youth because of the data-informed framework established through this collaboration.
