Opportunities for Real-World Learning
Our programs offer extensive field experiences. Both Ed.S. and Ph.D. students complete a 500-hour practicum in a school over the course of an academic year. Ed.S. students also complete a 1,200-hour full-time internship in their final year. In addition to the school practicum, Ph.D. students complete two semesters of externship and a 2,000-hour doctoral internship.
Ph.D. in School Psychology
We offer the only APA-accredited school psychology doctoral program in Colorado. This means a competitive edge in the job market. It also includes eligibility for licensure and academic positions. The Ph.D. program is also approved by the National Association of School Psychologists. The goal is to develop health service providers who are able to apply both psychological and educational principles. These principles improve the psychosocial environments of children (age birth-21) and their families.
Ed.S. in School Psychology
One of only two such programs in Colorado approved by NASP. Our specialist degree makes it easier to get your NCSP credential. Training focuses on the skills necessary to lead in an educational environment.
