The Research Consulting Lab housed within the Department of Applied Statistics and Research Methods offers free research consulting services to all UNC students, faculty, and staff. Whether you’re starting a new research project, designing a survey, or analyzing data, our expert consultants are here to support your success.

Whether you’re new to statistical software or want to dive deeper into advanced analysis techniques, our customizable workshops designed to help UNC students, faculty, and staff strengthen their skills in statistics, data analysis, and research methods.

- Instructors of SRM courses can request workshops to be held during class time, either in person (in classrooms or instructor-selected venues) or via Zoom.
- Students or staff from other departments are welcome to request a workshop. We require a minimum of five participants to schedule a session.

- Your project will begin with an initial consultation, where you’ll share your research goals and questions.
- Follow-up appointments can be scheduled as needed based on the project timeline and level of support required.
- The overall duration of your consultation experience will vary depending on the scope and complexity of your research.
