Student Activities

When students look back at their college experience, they often think beyond the books, papers, and exams.

They remember what they did, who they met, and how they felt. With over 100 student clubs and organizations, getting involved can be fun, easy, and a transformational way to make the most of your Bear experience. Whether it’s competing in a sport club, joining a fraternity or sorority, focusing on cultural awareness, volunteering through service teams, or taking up a new hobby – there is something for every Bear to enjoy!

Mission, Vision and Values

Mission 

Student Clubs and Organizations (SCO) offers involvement, community, and leadership to all UNC students through Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) by providing advising, event funding, and leadership opportunities to current and prospective RSO members. 

Vision 

Fostering engagement towards understanding one’s own values, identity, and culture is supported through Student Clubs and Organizations.
