Vice President for Student Affairs Announcement

Fellow Bears,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Humphrey, Ph.D., as the university’s new vice president for Student Affairs, effective May 19. This appointment follows a national search launched in December.
Keith comes to UNC from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California, where he most recently served for 12 years as vice president for Student Affairs. I am excited to welcome Keith to my leadership team and confident that he will help advance the priorities in our Rowing, Not Drifting 2030strategic plan. 

Keith succeeds Dale Pratt, who has served as interim vice president for Student Affairs since June 2024. I want to thank Dale for serving in this role and chairing the search to select the next vice president.
