Research Nights

Showcasing First-Year Student Projects

Each fall semester, University 101 students take part in Research Night. This is a special event that highlights their semester-long projects and introduces them to the UNC scholarly community. Nearly 500 first-year students present their research through posters, sharing what they’ve learned and accomplished.

For many, this is their first experience completing a college-level research project and presenting their work publicly. The event is open to everyone—UNC students, faculty, staff, family members, and the Greeley community. Visitors are encouraged to attend and support these emerging scholars.

Along with the main presentations, students can also enter the Research Excellence Competition. This competition provides extra feedback from judges and recognizes outstanding projects. Winning this honor is a valuable addition to academic resumes. This is a great way to prepare for future conferences, and a chance to celebrate high-quality student research.

Congratulations to the Fall 2024 UNIV 101 Research Night award winners!
